Founder - Shaleen Clay

For over 15 years, Shaleen worked in education with youth and educators in Title I schools. Through this experience, she witnessed negative student behaviors escalating year after year. She began researching why this was the case and discovered every child had a pattern of family trauma or abuse. In order to make change in this cycle, Shaleen and her team created Gracefilled Opportunities to focus on youth who have experienced homelessness, neglect and abuse. Many youth saw her classroom as a safe haven, and she chose to make it her mission and purpose to be a change maker with youth and to teach them how to end the family cycle of trauma.
